Peter Lougheed Provincial Park: 6 days
Northover Ridge
Walking along the spine of the continent Northover Ridge is, wi thout overstatement, an absolutely awesome trip. At one point of the journey you will find yourself moving along a 9200-foot ridge for 3 magical kilometres. For the most part, the ridge is rounded, but it becomes more knife-edged at its northern end. The views of the surrounding mountains will long remain in your memory. . . we think for a lifetime!

Kootenay National Park: 6 days The Rockwall - Meadows, Rock Precipices, Glacial
Splendour
The Rockwall is a 53-km of limestone precipice ranging to 1000 meters above the flower-filled alpine meadows and barren mountain passes you will traverse on this hike. This trail captures the essence of the Rocky Mountains' alpine meadows and grand vistas.
Jasper National Park: 7 days
Brazeau Loop - wide expansive meadows offer great vistas
The Brazeau Loop in Banff and Jasper National Park is one of the premier hikes in the Canadian Rockies. This 80-kilometre route wanders through three alpine passes and affords hikers many broad vistas of the expansive alpine valleys and peaks in this beautiful and wild front range mecca. This hike is different in nature and feel from other hikes that Back of Beyond offers.
Banff National Park: 6 days
New! Clearwater River - remote wilderness
This backpack is through the northern and little travelled reaches of Banff National Park. The hike starts outside the park in the forestry reserve and follows the Clearwater River to its source in Clearwater Pass. The lack of established campgrounds and bridges allows us to experience the true essence of wilderness backcountry travel as we ford the rivers and creeks and camp in remote locations. This adventure is not to be missed.
Purcell Mountains: 6 days
New! Purcell Wilderness Odyssey
Imagine a week of hiking in a wilderness devoid of trails. A place where the floral meadows merge with rocky slopes that rise to jagged skylines. Picture yourself pitching your tent next to a pristine lake in an untrodden valley. Walk through exciting terrain each day and camp in an unforgettable new location each night! Take a step "off the beaten path" on this six day trip through the Dogtooth Range of the Purcell Mountains.
Designed for adventurous hikers, this backpack wanders through high meadows far above densely forested valley bottoms. As we explore, we will travel over sometimes rugged terrain including rocky slopes and lingering snow patches. After accomplishing this six day journey we will return to civilization by helicopter!
Pacific Rim National Park, B.C. -
8 days Explore the mysterious West Coast
Trail
Trek through temperate rain forests rich with vegetation and
cathedral-like trees. Camp on long sandy beaches where you will observe and be
observed by the curious seals, Grey and Orca whales, sea lions and playful sea
otters which inhabit the ocean adjacent to the continental shelf. As you watch
the fascinating activities of the abundant marine life in the tidal pools, you
may notice a bald eagle or two gliding above. The lush scenery and misty
mornings of these paradise-like shores evoke a mysterious mood to enjoy at a
leisure pace over the 78 km (44 mile) trek.
