What is included in this price?
** All transportation from Canmore/ Return,
including: Canmore to Trailhead, all shuttles and luggage shuttles from trail's
end to Canmore
** All Park Fees, including: Park entrance fees and
backcountry user fees
** All food and trail snacks from the first day's
lunch on the trail, to the last day's lunch.
** 2 guides/naturalists per party of 8
** All pre-trip planning information
** Complete camping gear: sleeping bag, sleeping pad, backpack, rain gear (rudimentary), utensils etc.
This package does not include:
** Personal equipment such as clothing, boots,
toiletries
** Gratuities - your guides diligent efforts need to be
considered and appropriately rewarded
** Alcoholic Beverages
** As you
will not need a vehicle on this holiday we can arrange a pick up and drop off
at the Calgary airport, for an additional fee.
** Accommodation in Canmore for the night before and after the hike.

Terms:
Deposit 50% - Balance due 45 days before departure
date. Cancellation: $100.00 processing fee. If written notice is
received 45 days prior to departure, we can provide a full refund less
processing fee. No refund is possible on notice less than 45 days, unless the
space can be resold. Cancellation insurance is available.

Family Hut Trips:
Yoho National Park
Winner of the Heritage Tourism Award for Best Children's Programming!
We are offering three seperate dates for our family hut trips to the Stanley Mitchell Hut this summer. The trip in July will be a part of the huts regular routine. In other words, there will be other parties in the hut who may or may not have children. We do expect that there will be four to five children involved in Back of Beyond's clientle. We do however have an exclusive booking on the hut in August for five days. We are dividing these five days into two sections. The first section will be three nights and four days, the second section will be two nights and three days. We are expecting to have an average of 12 children in the hut during this period. This is great for the children as they will be able to have activities that require larger numbers to be successful. There will be program planners at the hut in addition to the guides. With this number age appropriate activities are usually possible for all participants.
Included with the puchase of these trips you will receive for each of your children a Naturalist Kit. This kit will contain: journals, pencils, water colors, magnifying glasses, dip nets and bug boxes with magnifyers which will be for your children to keep. These articles will be used to help us conduct the naturalist program. Parents will be asked to participate in the journaling and art projects and we hope from the modeling that the guides and naturalist do we will share with parents useful ways to continue this type of program after you are back home, in your local area. Further you will be able to share the experience first hand with your children. This will demonstrate to your children the value you place on nature and good stewardship, but give parents an opportunity to discuss the experience directly with their children. Family hut trip itineraries will follow those outlined for the Little Yoho Valley, but will vary depending on the age and abilities of children.
